JOE SATRIANI To Record New Solo Project Next Month
May 4, 2010Legendary guitarist Joe Satriani has issued the following update:
"I'm heading to the studio in one month to start recording a new solo project with Jeff Campitelli (drums),Allen Whitman (bass) and Mike Keneally (keyboards). The new material is dying to be recorded, and I can't wait to get started. I don't have a title for the project yet, but I will let you know when I figure it out..."
Joe Satriani will tour Europe in October/November 2010. Tickets will go on sale soon.
Joe Satriani, one of the world's most renowned instrumental artists, recorded "Live in Paris: I Just Wanna Rock" on May 27, 2008 at The Grand Rex Theater in Paris, France. The brand new live two-disc CD and DVD was released on February 2, 2010 through Epic Records.

Of his 14 solo albums two went platinum and four gold with 15 Grammy nominations between them. In 2009, Satriani joined with former VAN HALEN frontman Sammy Hagar, former bassist Michael Anthony, and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS' drummer Chad Smith, to form the stand out rock collaboration, CHICKENFOOT. Their debut self-titled album was recently certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America with over 500,000 in album shipments.
